WHERE: Kalamazoo County Expo Center 2900 Lake Street Kalamazoo, MI PERKS: 2 FREE ALL DAY ADMISSION TICKETS, 2 FREE ($5 VALUE/VOUCHER) LUNCH VOUCHERS, 4 FREE RAFFLE TICKETS, AND FREE PARKING. The above perks are good for Friday, September 21st and/or Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 from 9am-4pm. You can share your perks or use them for yourself each day. You will receive your perks at the admissions desk. For those working on Saturday, who wish to attend Friday or for those working an evening shift on Saturday, please check in at admissions when you arrive to shop and you will get your perks early. If you’re going to be late or there’s an emergency, please call Lindsey at 231-750-9321. Do not stand in line. Go straight up to admissions, ready to hit the ground running. We will guide you to where you need to go and give you your volunteer packet. -Bathrooms available, please take a break when you need one as there are no “scheduled” breaks -Please wear your name badge where it is visible. This will you prove you’re allowed access into areas without a wristband. -Please have a plan for your valuable items, purse/wallet etc as there are no lockers -Please wear comfortable clothing, but please make sure it is “work” appropriate. Ie. For example, please don’t wear T-shirts with negative putdowns or swearing, profanity or vulgarity. Another example, If you’re helping with carrying in/carrying out vendor’s items, flip flops will pose a risk -When it is time for you to go, let the people you’re working with know you’re leaving, but then it is ok to go. Lindsey won’t be coming around to release you. -If you have a cell phone, it’s ok/encouraged to bring it. The expo center is a large area and it’s challenging to find who you’re looking for with all the activity. Lindsey and Claudia will have their cell phones on them for you to call/text if there’s an issue. -If you’re a cropping assistant, vendor greeter, or raffle assistant please callClaudia at231-206-2980 if you experience a problem during The Roadshow. She will be on the expo center floor. Any other volunteer, please call Lindsey at 231-750-9321. During The Roadshow, she will be at admissions. Otherwise, she will be actively helping you with setup/teardown. Morning Friday and Morning Saturday Volunteers: The expo center doesn’t open until 8:30am. We will be arriving exactly at 8:30am. If you’re early and the doors are locked, this is why.
